The lowest is the largest and the easiest, a few minutes from the road, with boats and paddleboards on its still water and a rim of forest; the middle lake is a walk of four hours or a ride on a hired horse up through the trees, quieter and bluer, and the upper lake, near the treeline, is a day beyond that and needs a border permit.
